HATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATEHATE.

LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE.

Don't worry Winnie. You're under my LOVE section. Very few are under my HATE section. Anne's under my LOVE section too. LOVE to Anne.

I know of this person. She's under my LOVE and HATE section.

She's my mum. The person who keeps on comparing me with some others. Negatively. Sometimes I do wonder if she ever bothers comparing me with some ultimately rich person who goes to LAN everyday and pons school. Of course, I love her because she's my mother. And when I'm angry with her I would compare her with more irresponsible mums and know that she's a great mum.

But there's no need to compare me with others. RIGHT? Why do you need to compare me with others? It's not like I got 12/40 for Math.

Conversation:

Mum: How much did you get for Maths?
Me: Guess.
Mum: You're scaring me with that look. 30?
Me: Higher.
Mum: 32?
Me: Higher.
Mum: 35?
Me: Higher. I got 37.
Mum: WAH! So good arh?
Me: Ya.
Mum: So how much did ABCDEFG get?
Dad: Shut up la. Dou shuo bu yao compare le.

ABCDEFG's name is covered. But I still respect ABCDEFG a lot and I don't blame ABCDEFG for anything.

Having reflect on the fugly conversation, I feel that this is common amongst Singaporean parents. Dumbasses. Instead of :) - ing to your daughter and celebrating results she would probably never get for the rest of her lifetime, they must pian pian ask them how much did __________________(insert over-achiever's name) get.

I shall look at the sunny side. At least there's my dad to LOVE and not HATE.
