Yesterday was sort of ugh-ish, especially the performance and all that. D:
The sound system for the performing arts festival wasn't very good, which made it very hard to hear each other. We (sec 3s) sang quite well in my opinion, though at some points the alto 2s and alto 1s suddenly became very loud due to our proximity to the mic. It was quite hard to gauge our volume and all, and really I don't know how it turned out like from the view of the audience. As expected the applause we received was merely an applause, but I know that's because the audience were just shoppers/passerbys who wanted to take a look at what was going on. And was really proud of Jodyn, though I didn't say it, because I thought that her voice sounded supremely nice yesterday. :)
I'm sorry to the people I ignored like Grace, Bianche, a few batchmates here and there, got irritated with such as Jodyn, Reetz and all. I was feeling upset cos I lost a big part of my voice and thus I remained irritated the whole day. Thanks for trying to talk to me and make me feel better ya. (:
Cheryl is in church camp now. Just saying. O.o

Today's choir was okay I guess. I thought we sounded not bad during our 2nd try of Viva La Vida. All that is needed I feel is to have every to familiarize themselves with their parts.

Busking Prac and Voices

TODAY WAS BOOMZ. Maybe it wasn't THAT fun or interesting, but it certainly was better than most days.
We had busking which honestly sounded horrible the first two times we sang it but with some little adjustments here and there it started to sound really nice! Btw today was my first time listening to Yueyue's voice and I really like it. It vaguely reminds me of Jodyn's, which has a very secure and rich tone. Now I'm feeling really envious of Jodyn for her voice.
Oh ok then I shall create a list of people whose voices I do like. It is NOT a list of people whom I think can sing better than others, but a list of people whom I feel connects with my ears (which are kinda small. Err just saying (: )
Okay so here goes:
1. Wanyii, Sixuan, Shzehui, Esther Dig their low notes.
2. Sheena, Jodyn, Vic, Daniella I think their tones are really nice.
3. Azura, Sa, Chloe Their voices are full of emotion when they sing! And Azura really has a voice which just fills the room with warmth. Aww makes me wanna run up to her and hug her she so cute.
Err my previous sentence had very bad grammar.
Back to busking (oh today I saw Brillia and she looked really cute in her hairband thing)! I'm really scared of my solo part cos I really think my voice is like not blending and I am loud to the point where I can't even hear the others sing.
Which is not good. Cos I realised that my volume gives me security, which is well, not good la. Volume =/= intensity of the song. And right now I'm still mixing those two up with is not good. And when I sing my solo right, if I don't sing loud I'll just like crumble and withdraw to my sop voice which (if you haven't heard it) is very soft, weak and if you have a word to sum it up it will be Feeble.
Tomorrow we're presenting it to the Sec 4s which is kinda scary cos I'm scared I screw up my part again but other that I'm really confident of my batchmates whooo!

Speaking of volume, I don't think anyone (maybe except for Jodyn) knows how excited when I pick up a score and see a "ff" or "fff" or "f" or any related symbol on it. I GET REALLY VERY EXCITED and I'm all like "omg I get to sing ff!! ITSUKI HAS AN fff LET'S ALL SCREAM HOW EXCITING!!" Yup that's what goes through my mind. Which is a reason why I absolutely love Itsuki, especially it's second last page because reserved for the Alto 2s (I'm not sure about other sections) is an"fff"!!! I get really happy when we reach that part.
Oh and I like the part where Alto 2s get split into half and we do this octave thing. Cos we do some awesome-sounding crescendo thing and it sounds really intense, sexayye and whatever. The Domakanjin or something part!

Jodyn just mentioned an absolutely relevant point to me today: She likes it when Ms Loo asks us to sing alone cos she would wanna show everyone else how good she is or something along those lines.
And I tell you.
SHE ISN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY YAY ME TOO!!
I'm sorry if it sounds very arrogant. I'm someone who likes singing alone unless I am unsure about my part. And I really don't think my voice is nice. Compared to Azura or Sheena or something I'm an utter noob. It's just that I really like to show others that I'm confident of my parts and that makes me really happy because there's a sense of achievement there.

I was listening to the Sec Ones sing that day and I realised that Natalie Tall has a nice voice. Just saying.
If you want to comment we can do so Face-to-Face. I'm not very Textually-Inclined. :) Plus I like observing people's eyes in proportions to their noses, foreheads, etc.
